| My creative
expression stems from a deep desire to capture, preserve and
share the beauty I see.
I have been painting for
about 6 years now and am self taught. Watercolor is my
favourite medium, however, I have worked in acrylic, silk
painting, glass etching and have recently tried encaustic
art and pottery.
I take a lot of time
in creation putting in the detail and trying to capture the
true essence of each piece.
I was commissioned to
produce some images for wine label at a small local winery
in 2004 and have sold in the Osoyoos Art Gallery and a few
other local venues.
In 2007 I won second place
for a peacock feather painting in Osoyoos' People's Choice
show. The poppies in the above photo took third place in a
People's Choice show as well.
Art is my hobby and a great
tool for self expression. I hope to produce art which
invokes a good happy feeling in those who take the time to
view it. My future goal is to continue to improve and try
new & different styles & techniques.
