Osoyoos & District Arts Council

The Osoyoos & District Arts council is an umbrella organization with a mandate to support arts and culture in our area and to enrich the lives of the people in our communities. It is a registered BC Society and a federally registered Charity which can issue receipts for donations.

The Osoyoos & District Arts Council leases the Osoyoos Art Gallery building from the Town of Osoyoos to provide space for local artists including painters, potters, writers, wood carvers, a photography club, musicians, etc. The Gallery building provides free space for meetings of various arts and culture groups.

The Board of Directors is comprised entirely of volunteers with no paid staff.

The Osoyoos & District Arts Council provides grants to groups under the Arts Council umbrella to support projects, and funds an annual scholarship of $500 to an Osoyoos Secondary School student enrolled in an arts related curriculum.
