Artist Page Application information
Upon approval from the Osoyoos & District Arts Council, local artists and authors can each establish a personal Artist Profile page in this space for a small additional fee.Each individual artist page is constructed from a template that closely reflects the theme of the rest of the Osoyoos & District Arts Council website.
The original artist pages will each be limited in scope to a headline/title, a "headshot" photo of the artist, a bio or written information (200 words max but this is flexible) and up to six photos of the artist's work. While this is a one-page addition, it can be linked to the artist's own site via hyperlink. (And Laurena is available for hire if any artists do want to develop their own sites!)
The materials to build these pages must be provided by the artist, who will be responsible to pay the $50 development fee. This is a one-time fee for the original page construction, and is not subject to annual or on-going fees.
If requested by the artist, the page can be set up to be edited via a simple CMS program that is accessed through the Internet for no additional charge. Artists/authors will then be able to upload whatever they like on an on-going basis.
If interested, the artist should submit the information to Laurena Weninger from Write this Down Freelancing, at okwriter@eastlink.ca. The photos don't need to be high resolution. The text should be simply typed into the body of an email, along with any details or special requests.
There is no set timeline on this portion of the website, as these pages can be added at any time.
